Review of Bessie (2015) by Kyle B — 28 May 2015
A nice HBO movie with a great performance from Queen Laifiah, Monique, and Kenneth Michael Williams. Beautiful costumes, make up, hair, cinematography, and direction and powerhouse musical numbers from Queen and Monique.
It's not a masterpiece like some of the latest HBO movies but it's a perfectly fine one.
