Review of Bellflower (2011) by Brad S — 10 Feb 2012
Maybe the coolest movie I've seen all year outside of 'Drive'; and one of the most raw and authentic feeling since 'Blue Valentine', this dark, exciting, emotional, super-stylish, and completely original film is so filled with tension that I almost felt like I was watching 'The Hurt Locker' again.
'Bellflower' is a breath of fresh air pulsating with energy, and you'll never see a single beat coming from a mile away. Far from a perfect movie, heavy on the melodrama at times, and lacking quality acting, Writer/Director/Star Evan Glodell's first film will nevertheless have you totally gripped from start to finish and you won't be able to pry your eyes from the screen.
