Review of Before We Go (2014) by Barney O — 04 Sep 2015
WHAT I LIKED: In a world of blockbusters, this honest and charming film feels like a classic romance. The character's develop well and the realtionship feels real and genuinely lovely, plus the plot isn't just the samey love story of other romances.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: It's not a particularly complex film overall, and thus does feel a little more like a (very good) TV Drama. It could do with a little more urgency too.
VERDICT: This heart warming piece of independant cinema isn't the complex and layered film of the holywood blockbuster, but Chris Evans' 'Here We Go,' feels honest and beautiful. A simple but lovely romance.
