I finally saw it. I am amazed...not only is my favorite actor Mr. O'Toole superb in his mercurial fascination with Thomas Becket, but Richard Burton gives Becket a believable transformation from philandering politician to honorable archbishop.
The book, by Jean Anouilh, is scintillating, and I ALWAYS enjoy Sir John Gielgud.
