Review of Beats Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest (2011) by Chris D — 11 Sep 2012
Fantastic documentary covering the entire lifespan of ATCQ and affiliated groups, through the lens of the members, those involved, and commercially successful modern artists inspired by ATCQ. The real gem in this documentary is the timing -- just after the tour in Japan.
It grasps the highs, the lows, and ends on a hopeful note. It's a really feel good documentary, if such a thing exists.
