Review of Battle for Haditha (2007) by Sarah B — 08 Mar 2008
A haunting exploration of the madness and paranoia of war, in the grey areas between black and white, with no easy answers. Broomfield's almost exclusive use of non-professional actors including ex-Marines and Iraqi refugees against a very believable (Jordanian) backdrop adds a whole other psychological dimension to what is already a very powerful film.
