Review of Batman Begins (2005) by Hunter M — 23 Apr 2014
I'm a big Batman fan, and Batman Begins is my favorite Batman film. We get to see what is probably the greatest superhero origin story every conceived executed brilliantly. It is very dark and emotional, we get to experience the pain that Bruce Wayne deals with on a daily basis.
This helps you understand why Batman makes the choices that he does. The film is well shot, and music is used effectively. We see Bruce go through rigorous ninja-like training where he learns to use darkness and fear as his greatest weapons.
There is very little humor, but it works well. Batman is not a superhero that should be cheesy, leave the cheese to spiderman. When watching it, you feel as if it is a grand epic tale. The film is smart and makes use of semi-realistic situations.
Everyone can relate to this film, so it is a must-watch even for non-superhero fans.
