Review of Baskin (2015) by Rex B — 18 Jul 2017
There is genuinely eerie stuff that horror fans do not get to witness all that often. Very few films tap into the psyche and make you pay attention to what is happening on screen. But by the time you're halfway through this one, you are compelled to watch every frame of bloody, Satanic horror.
Father will freak you the f*ck out. I was mesmerized by his appearance and creepy voice and the juxtapositions between his demeanor and actions. A must-see. One of the best modern-day horrors. American filmmakers, pay attention to this and learn from it because you could make an approach and idea like this even more cinematically terrifying.
