Review of Back in the Day (2016) by Celine G — 26 Jan 2014
This movie is one hell of a comedy. It's so refreshing to see a bunch of adults not take themselves seriously. No censorship allowed especially for Harland Williams; God bless the garvin!
The story is also very touching because of its honesty as depicted through the journey Jim (Rosenbaum) undergoes in going back to his roots in order to find himself again. As with anyone who left the comforts of their hometown, you can't help but hope that upon returning, your friends retained a piece of that past within them. And even though life has taken its course and transformed them all along with it, his contagious will to relive the good old days happily compels his friends to follow suit. Actor/Director Michael Rosenbaum has done a fine job. All of which supported by a killer cast and soundtrack. Well done!
