Review of Awake: The Life of Yogananda (2014) by Lucia G — 06 Dec 2014
A beautiful and affectionately told story of the life of Paramahnsa Yogananda. Images, interviews and archival material are skillfully woven together to convey the impact of this teacher's life. A few celeb cameos take away from this story.
Such as Bikram Choudry's interview. I'll also spare you the disappointment up f.
Ront of having to hear Alannis Morisette's utterly self absorbed voice during what could have been the sweetest closing. Profoundly bad choice and total bummer. Hang on into the credits where George Harrison saves these moments from ruin and invites in the depth of emotion they deserve.
