Review of Avenging Angelo (2002) by Zeb K — 18 Aug 2009
Avenging Angelo is a very unique kind of movie. To enjoy Avenging Angelo you've got to be able to understand Stallone's kind of humor. Which most people do no since this movie is not rated highly. I have never been a big fan of Stallone's comedy (Oscar)(Stop or my mom will shoot). However I can assure you that Avenging Angelo is nothing like his other comedy attempts.
Stallone plays the role of a bodyguard (Franky Delano) hired by ex- mobster Angelo (Anthonny Quinn) who gets killed so Franky's new job is to protect Angelo's daughter, who does not even know that Angelo is her father.
Avenging Angelo is a very entertaining movie, with a few laughs in between!!
Long-time actor Anthonny Quinn died when Avenging Angelo was in the works, but they did all the scenes that he is in first, since they did not know how long he had left. Avengling Angelo is his last ever role he played in.
