Review of Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies (2016) by Olivia P — 30 Jan 2017
Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies is a unique experience of a zombie spoof that I enjoyed from beginning to end. It is the perfect blend of traditional zombie violence that we all love and adore and and action-packed extreme snowboarding.
I loved how the director Dominik Hartl engaged with the setting throughout the entire movie; in other zombie slashers, the main characters are usually set in an abandoned city where there are hiding places and many weapons of choice.
In this movie though, the heroes were trapped in the Alps which created an inventive storyline. I thought it was amazing and innovative of the director to take on such an extreme location. Despite its intense setting, the movie overall is innocuous fun with exciting slicing and dicing graphics.
I highly recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a fresh take on the tired zombie spoof genre.
