Period pieces are always hard to do without being cliche, especially with the 80s. This movie does a fantastic job taking you back to a unique place and time in recent history. The setting, use of light, cinematography, cast, and acting are great.

The selection and use of music is superb! I wouldn't give the plot a perfect score, but there are so many unique aspects of this film that make up for it. It's a film very much worth seeing and seeing again in my opinion for someone who can appreciate the finer points of cinema.
