Review of Assassination of a High School President (2008) by Austin S — 27 Nov 2009

At first glance this film might look and sound like a movie for teenagers, but actually it's a very solid adult movie. It is billed as Chinatown set in high school and feels a lot like a mainstream version of Brick.

The main actor, Reece Thompson, who was great in Rocket Science too, gives a great performance. The film takes tons of twists and I thought it was really interesting and fun at the same time. Bruce Willis also gives a funny performance as the war veteran principal.

Overall a really good crime thriller set in high school with a little comedy added it, that isn't your typical teenage film at all.
