Review of As Cool as I Am (2013) by Rebecca C — 06 Jun 2013
Loved this movie. A must see for parents... and also teens. Tells what its like to be a regular kid with parents who just pretend to parent. Lucy becomes the parent to her mother, and the impact on her is tragic.
Her vulnerability and fight are compelling, as she insists on bouncing back, no matter what happens to her. I loved it, and feel like reviewers must have been watching a differing film - either that, or couldn't accept the truth of the matter.
Five stars.
