Very rarely do I find a remake live up to or even surpass the original, however, in this case, this is what the original should have been. I'm a fan of the original, but it always felt like they missed the mark on getting a tone and letting the character of Arthur truly be someone you care about.

Russell Brand approaches the character with such a zest that only he can, bringing an innocent boyish charm to an alcoholic billionaire. The biggest draw for him is how much heart he brings to it. I could go on, but just take my word for it, plus Liza Manneli was nowhere in sight!
