Screenwriting is weak. Most of the main actors, especially Artemis Fowl played by Ferdia Shaw is horrible. Josh Gad is ok, and Colin Farrell is fine as a supporting actor, but they screwed the pooch with the casting of this wooden kid.
I’ve read the first novel. I know it’s tough to find some great kid actor like Dakota Fanning, ... but they needed to find someone w a little charm and acting believability. This franchise is dead on arrival.
