BEST OF THE SERIES in the sense that it's the most evenly entertaining: The first one had nothing going-on for the first 40 minutes, the second one was "jerky" and stupid compared to Part 3 (IN MY OPINION).
I feel the way about this series as I feel about DIE HARD on and two;.
I found Die Hard 2 more watchable than Die Hard one because part 2 wasn't burdened with having to dramatize characterization and could "leap" right into the action.
Evil Dead one, two, and three are all 100% classics.
