Ella Ballentine does a superb performance bringing her feisty character to life but simply cannot compare to Megan Follows in the original movie. There is hint at Anne's unhappy prior life but still lots of humour and gorgeous scenery of Canada's Prince Edward Island.
Worth it for its sweet nostalgic revisit to the novels or the original.
