I'm giving this a 6 only because the animation and character design in this film was beautiful. This movie is really cute. Thats the only thing it really has going for it. The plot is all over the place, and at some points the story really did not make much sense as the bad guy seemed to have the ability to teleport from one place to the next at whim without any explanation how he got there.
The animators and voice actors and character modelers did a top notch job, even the characters themselves were very likable and well thought out, and really seemed to have more personality and charm that the writers of the story made use of.
Did I enjoy this movie? Yes...very much, but really only for the character designs, animation and voice work, over the actual plot and story of the film. The story itself really did not make any sense, and felt as if they were making it up as they went along.
Perhaps it is better in German?
