Review of An Autumn's Tale (1987) by Edmond W — 19 Jul 2010
B4 this, I fink "in the mood of love" is a movie with subtle love.
After watching, I fink this is even more raw and true-.
A love movie without any physical intimacy,.
I can see the plain values of Hong Kong in 1980s.
Chow's acting depicts vividly a Chinese worker in china town- hardworking, crudely optimistic yet sometimes rude with little bad habits. nothing fancy but an gd expression of his love so honest and a bit sad.
As a HKer, I especially like the lines of Chow with the local sense of humor. the separation of the watch and the bracelet is defy a touching plot.
