Perfect movie...with all the stereotypes that society places on people of color, the poor, those receiving customer assistance,etc. Based on a TRUE story...and filmed in a small town in Texas (#1 state in performing executions!).
But the D.A. was a real piece of work...arrogant, cocky, and bigoted as hell. He was the persecutor with his own private agenda and hatreds. The scene in the little restaurant where he "informs" on Dee was unreal and should have cost him his license AND his job! A must-watch movie for ALL Americans! 5 stars out of 5!
