Review of American Psycho (2000) by Nathan T — 11 Sep 2012

I loved watching this; the contrast of violence and sex at night against the calm day, firmly narrated by the thoughts of the main character, psychotic CEO businessman played by Christian Bale. It's a film which doesn't take its self too seriously with dark humour providing a relief from the violent acts committed at night which fill the characters hidden bloodlust.

I mean I'd say the end is shocking but you come to expect it when the whole film spins the plot as fast the chainsaw he drops down a staircase onto a prostitute. (Watch with friends who aren't frigid about film violence).
