Review of Amarcord (1973) by Tyler M — 13 Jun 2007
Possibly Fellini's best, this semi-autobiographical movie about nostalgia is as romanticized as our own memories. Every scene runs with the same undercurrents of sweetness, sadness, desire, and bafflement that we encounter in remembering our pasts.
It's beautiful and grotesque, sometimes at the same time.
