Review of Always Be My Maybe (2019) by Smirk — 31 May 2019

I can see that they were trying to cash in on the whole "Crazy Rich Asians" thing with two Asian leads and somewhat of an Asian theme, they missed the whole Asian culture and backdrop. Overall, it bumbles along as a very predictable nothingness: nothing too great, just a few small touching moments, and nothing to write home about.

My problem with this is that Marcus has absolutely no redeeming qualities except the boy who made her laugh and who's family looked after her. That's not enough for me, even with the "power of love".

I won't be watching this again, not even if there's nothing else on.
