Review of Alphabet City (1984) by Steve S — 17 Aug 2009
** (out of four).
Vincent Spano plays a young thug, who rules the drug and gang filled streets of the lower east side of Manhattan, known as Alphabet City. He becomes a target when he refuses a job by a local crime boss.
Despite a decent turn by Spano, the film is routine. This story has been done do many times and usually better.
