If you want lots of snappy dialogue, look elsewhere. If you want a big cast, look elsewhere. If you want a great movie that speaks to the strength and determination of the human spirit and its will to survive this is it.
Redford is the only cast member playing a man who runs into trouble while sailing through the Indian Ocean. His plight is utterly engaging as he stoically hangs on for dear life and we hang onto the edge of our seats.
