Review of All Cheerleaders Die (2013) by Cecily B — 01 Jul 2014
This movie was a lot of fun, even more than I thought it would be. And even though it won't win any awards or mainstream recognition, it was pretty refreshing, very funny and interesting enough to not be boring at all.
The acting was a bit sketchy at times, but overall it was good enough to not be a problem. And Caitlin Stasey was once again pretty good, as well as the other girls and guys. Also, the plot was quite different than what I thought the movie would be about, but it was still very good and surprising.
It had a little bit of everything, some dark comedy, horror and gore. But overall, it is what it is, a campy kind of movie, that is essentially more about having fun and something that shouldn't be taken seriously.
Therefore, this is a must-see movie that I'm sure will get its audience and eventually become a cult classic because of its dark humor, horror and fresh take on horror comedies. And I will love to know what happens next.
