Review of Aisha (2010) by Pranav K — 10 Aug 2010
Clueless may have been a novel adaptation of Austen's Emma that introduced and spread the Beverly Hills/Valley Girl/California culture to the rest of the U.S., and Aisha tries to accomplish a similar feat with Delhiites during the nation's economic boom.
However, the movie is a blatant copy of the American film and a desperate attempt to infuse the American culture and superfluous lifestyle (well, at least before the recession) into India.
