The film that started the whole 70's disaster film genre. Arthur Hailey's bestseller comes to life in all it's Widescreen soap opera glory. Burt Lancaster and Dean Martin are in fine form. Alfred Newman's Oscar Nominated score (the Main Theme is one of my all time favorites) is also a standout.
This movie was the first of 3 sequels. God help us all!!
