Review of A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) by Sandy P — 29 Aug 2009
Forget 'The Uninvited'!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That turd of the movie doesn't compare in any way to this film, on which it was based. 'Sisters' is my absolute favorite in the realm of the psychological thriller.
The ghost that seems to be in the house only add to Su-mi and Su-yeon's problems after returning home from a mental hospital. Stuck with a literal wicked stepmother and a heartbroken father that is unable or unwilling to accept what is going on around him, the sisters rely on each other.
'Sisters' is the kind of film that reveals more and more every time it is watched. It is an intricately constructed story with several twists in the plot and an ending that trumps 'Uninvited' in every way.
