Wow. Tom Ford surprised me. I knew that he was an excellent fashion designer but now he proved that he is an excellent movie director as well. It could be seen on the perfectly chosen outfits that a fashion-person had something to do with this movie.
Again, this is a movie which cannot be compared to any other, in my opinion. I haven't seen anything like this before. It is very very sad and depressing my mood totally went down to zero after watching this.
But it was worth it. Colin Firth was awesome!!! And I was very happy to see Nicholas Hoult in such a great movie, he was my favorite in Skins so he made the movie even better for me. Everything was perfectly designed, the furniture, clothes, makeup, even the plants.
I liked the idea of bringing a model into the movie- Aline Weber. If I had to characterize A Single Man in 2 words it would be: Sadly Perfect.
