Review of A Long Way Down (2014) by Lewis M — 26 Mar 2014
For a 'Hollywood' portrayal of misery and suicide, it's not bad. Four strangers meet on a roof on new years eve after going there to commit suicide. Half of the set of characters are likeable/interesting, and so, inevitably, is half of the film, due to the narrative being split up to tell each characters' story.
Some really nice points are made, but it of course ends as you would expect; happily, and all that rubbish that the film clearly knows its audience will happily lap up.
