Review of A Deadly Adoption (2015) by Shantel D — 26 Jun 2015
Two of comedy's biggest superstars in a Lifetime movie? With another "Fatal Attraction" ripoff plot? You might think this as the perfect chance to parody the Lifetime movie genre as a whole.
But nope, Ferrell and Wiig are deadly serious in this. No laughs, no winks to the audience, just another Lifetime movie. I give this one star because Ferrell and Wiig prove to be capable dramatic performers (I already knew this about Ferrell by watching the excellent "Stranger Than Fiction," which I consider to be his greatest movie) but I was surprised by Wiig.
But in the end, this is exactly the sort of factory made foolishness this most hated of networks churns out by the dozens. If your replaced Ferrell and Wiig with C. Thomas Howell and Tori Spelling, this would just be another forgettable movie that's a waste of your Life and your Time.
