Review of A Dark Song (2016) by Eric B — 21 Mar 2018
This actually is a pretty decent movie; it just isn't actually a horror film. The first 93 minutes is a horror film, but then in the last 5 minutes or so it takes a left turn and gives you a message.
It's not a bad message, and the main character has obviously grown and learned something, but that's not what you expect the ending to be after watching the first hour and a half of a horror film.
So enjoy the dark, atmospheric beginning, expect a moralistic lesson at the end, and you'll enjoy this one.
