Review of A Coffee in Berlin (2012) by Makoto N — 30 Jun 2014
(July 2014) Black-and-white film with dry and reserved humor, with jazz in the background. As everybody says, I guess one can see strong influence of W Allen. Basically describes an eventful day of the protagonist in Berlin, encountering a lot of unique people.
I like the subdued and quiet tone, but the story is at the end collection of small episodes, which collectively did not give a strong impression on me...
