Review of 8 Mile (2002) by Adam K — 26 Dec 2012
It's one of those films where on the face of it, being about rap and starring the people it does, you'd think it would be absolutely horrid. But it's actually a really good story, the acting is surprisingly wonderful, and it's beautifully told and actually you really feel yourself rooting for the "heroes" in it.
Though I couldn't imagine at all why one would want to get into that genre of music, it's not really about that. It's about the struggles of a man through a very rough life that more and more people every day are finding themselves in.
