Review of 7 Splinters in Time (2018) by Blake L — 13 Jul 2018
Mindset is critical when watching 7 Splinters in Time; it is one of the most unique and stylistically original films I've seen. When you embrace the style of the film, I think it gives way to some moments of truth and beauty.
It is funny too, from the absurd rantings of Greg Bennick to hilarious barbs from Lynn Cohen and Austin Pendleton. George Nicholas's cinematography - spanning an array of film and digital formats - is truly a feast for the eyes.
7 Splinters is certainly a strange film in places and there are moments where the plot could stand to breathe more, but it is unlike any film I've seen before. Go into it with an open mind and I think you may like what you find along the way.
