Review of (500) Days of Summer (2009) by Alice S — 30 Dec 2013
(500) days is not enough time to spend with this movie and its brilliant stars. Summer's got it all: quirks, laughs, tears, and the greatest sequence ever crafted of being on cloud 9 set to Hall and Oates' "You Make My Dreams.
" While its exquisite writing and suburb directing escalate this film to heights rarely achieved by rom-coms, it's launched into near perfection with its heartfelt indie charm. Levitt and Deschanel are an adorable on-screen couple, and no other actors could have done justice to the characters of Tom and Summer.
I'd recommend this film to anyone. Absolutely anyone.
