Review of 4th Man Out (2015) by David G — 14 Feb 2016
It's heart was in the right place, but the sloppy writing and storytelling derail the movie. At one point the movie *jumps the shark* when the main character befriends a sleazy closeted gay man who he met before, and should have never seen again.
It was a shockingly stupid scene that defies even the smallest amount of reason. A big chunk of the movie also focuses on his straight best friend's relationships. Why do I care what happens to the straight guy -- and why is he in a relationship with a hellish nightmare of a woman? The movie isn't suppose to be about him.
It's almost as if the writer got bored with the subject matter. I feel bad, but the movie is too frustrating to recommend.
