Review of 4th Man Out (2015) by Johnnylee T — 22 Jul 2016
A gentle coming out story that perhaps tries to cover way too much of the process in such a restricted time. In saying that, it's nicely paced, and the dynamics between the four friends add some depth to what could have otherwise been two-dimensional characters. This is, without a doubt, our protagonist's story and the engaging Evan Todd is the sort of character you barrack for from the get-go. Parker Young is not without his charm and, in lesser, underdeveloped roles, Chord Overstreet and Jon Gabrus are plenty of fun.
An overall refreshing film about male friendship and the complications of falling in love.
