Review of 24 Hour Party People (2002) by David T — 20 Dec 2007
I'm sure this film has got more reconition after the un-timley death of Tony Wilson (the NME crowd mainly) This is the true story of a tv reporter in Manchester who changed the face of British music and culture.
Tony Wilson's name will forever be etched in the history of British music...he operated one of the most succesful record labels ever (rich in music, not in money) also ran the legendry club the Hacenda (The birth of British dance music was born in those four walls) Too many artists/DJs owe Tony Wilson too meny too name.
..this film sums up the wacky world of the Manchester music scene at its artist during possibly the riches time in its history...if you not intrested in all of that, its also just a cool film!
