Based on the Stephen King novella, 1922 is the story of a farmer who, with the help of his son, murdered his wife after a disagreement in selling their land to be able to move to Omaha. After the murder, the farmer starts getting terrorized by rats and starts seeing eerie visions of his wife.
The source material is a rumination of guilt, by way of a psychological thriller. It might be effective as a short novel, but there isn't enough material to sustain a feature-length film. The beginning especially lacked tension.
