Review of Yuva (2004) by Marisa R — 11 Feb 2009
This movie started so well, and it just went downhill all the way to the end. The story is just a remake of 'Amores Perros', very popular Mexican film. I usually don't mind watching Indian remakes of something else, but this was a bad effort.
The pearls of the film include Abishek and Rani's first part of the movie, which was really good, promising, and extremely well-performed. Ajay's performance was ok, but the storyline didn't help him, while Esha was just underwhelming.
The worst of the worst was watching Vivek and Kareena.... terrible story, terrible dialogues, terrible everything; both are completely graceless people, they just ruined the movie. I thought the wrap up of the movie was incomplete, Kareena's character disappears, Esha and Ajay's future is up in the air.
.. it was just not a good choice. If you have a brain, don't even bother...
