Review of Whitney (2018) by Stephen C — 28 Jul 2018
5 stars for Whitney -negative 5 for slamming Deedee Warwick who was out as a lesbian and blamed for being a molester. Shame on Cissy Houston, Pat, Michael and Gary Houston. Whitney clearly loved Robin, and loved her introvert lifestyle outside of being bullied into giving up what she truly wanted in her life to live the life of her greedy mother and family.
I am ashamed of the dismay of lambasting the late Deedee Warwick! for being a child molester when clearly, it was the father. The mother appears evil and misleading in this movie. The ex-never wanted -husband B.brown is a loser. Especially apparent is the clarity that the family never covers the truth of Whitney's misery makes up what they want and the fact that she was living a life for them and gave up what she wanted for her mother. That is the sadness in all of it.
