Review of The Walker (2007) by Jim B — 11 Aug 2007
Absorbing drama in which Woody Harrelson shines as the gay male escort of bored Washington wives; a character who is cheerfully and proudly superficial until a murder forces him to confront powerful people who are more deeply cynical than he could ever be.
The film paints a damning but depressingly plausible picture of contemporary Washington culture... and can one character?s striking resemblance to Dick Cheney be entirely coincidental?
