Review of The Bay (2012) by Rich S — 14 Jul 2013
A few years ago, stories of Isopods were taking over the internet. The image of one feeding inside the mouth of a fish where its tongue should be is etched into my brain. And as a sushi lover, it is a horrifying reminder that we have no idea what is living in our water.
Barry Levinson takes this concept and turns it into a terrifying and thought-provoking horror flick. Adding to the realism is the fact that the film is compiled from every and any operating camera, cell phone and satellite in the small town that fateful day.
This is not your typical found-footage film and might not be for everyone.
