Review of Miller's Crossing (1990) by Jeff N — 27 Jul 2011
Popular acclaim may lean towards Fargo or No Country but this Prohibition-era noir is the Coen Brothers' finest moment. Artsy yet genuine, it grips and enthralls, with Gabriel Bryne's performance amongst his finest.
Benefiting from Carter Burwell's stunning score, this gangster classic ages superbly.
