Review of Lymelife (2008) by Phil N — 09 Aug 2010
Set in the late 70s, this slow burn drama focuses on Scott (Rory Culkin) as heâ??s about to become an adult, and the relationship with his rather dysfuntional family and their friends, full of secrets and infidelities.
The story gradually lures you in and the film boasts a fine cast â?? the Culkin brothers are surprisingly emotive, Emma Roberts smoulders, and it also reminded me why I used to rate Timothy Hutton so highly.
Richly rewarding.
