With a movie like this, you watch it to enjoy the pairing of Loy and Powell. But they're together for surprisingly few scenes in this film--what you get is Powell having to act crazy while being pulled through the wringer as Loy and Carson watch.
Of course Loy and Powell get together in the end, but there's little sense of satisfaction.
